Lex stood with the group of first years awaiting to be called upon. He wasn't paying much attention to what was happening around him. His eyes were fixed upong the headmaster, the old man comforted him in a way making any fear he had wash away. "Lex, Hawk!" He heard his name called and he snaped his attention to Professor Mcgonagall. He slowly made his way up to her and sat on the rickety old stool. The tattered sorting hat was placed upon his head and suddenly he heard its voice inside his head. "Hawk.... I'm afraid I know no Hawks. You will be the first sorted into Hogwarts, what an honor. Where to put you dear boy. Ahh.... There's pure blood I see, yes I am not mistaken. Being adopted by muggles does not change the origin of your blood. There is a bit of bravery, yes and loyalty too. This is difficult young sir, you are hard to place, though a place you shall have. Hmm... Trouble has a way of finding you, a love for mischief I see. Not a bad mind, very strong willed, outspoken your are, and what a nasty temper you have, I must say. What's this, not a people person eh? I think I have the perfect house for you, it is not known for its good but you may do it some. Yes, you shall be placed in __________!"
...I'd retrace the steps that lead me hear but nothing lives behind me. So I lie in this field, bathed in the light that loves me. With nothing left to loose...

A pair of amber eyes watched intently as little hands anxiously pulled on an auburn lock of hair. All around her, the highly-charged buzz of the students was keeping her from standing still. She kept looking at her fellow first years and all of them seemed to vibrate with the same energy -- if not more -- as they awaited for their turn under the Sorting Hat. Somehow, this was a comfort to her; that she was not alone.
She smiled at the boy behind her, and he smiled back with the same uncertainty.
"Holcombe, Iris."
Came Professor McGonagall's call. At the sound of her name, she was instantly torn between jumping for joy or shattering into miniscule, stuttering bits.
"Good luck," the boy said.
"I think I'm gonna need more than that," she nervously giggled.
Like everyone else before her, the girl carefully took her place on the dais. "Relax, Ms. Holcombe. This won't take long," Professor McGonagall remarked as she plopped the Sorting Hat on the girl's head.
She almost fell over the rickety old chair as a booming voice pervaded her senses. "An artist, are we? With an eye for beauty and a great need to simply be yourself... but where does this all come from?" Silence, then came the voice again. "Sympathy and compassion, and a fierce protectiveness and loyalty," it laughed. "Oh, but the scales are tipped with mischief and cunning! And what's this? A dark cloud rising...?" The Sorting Hat grinned, its folds crinkled and brittle. "Well, well... that I leave up to you, m'dear. You have years ahead of you to 'sort' that out! Tricky, tricky, tricky indeed... Well now, let's see how you fare in the House of... _________________!"

Darkheart, Cserri.
She inched towards the sorting hat, afraid of the house she was supposedly destined to be in due to her family's stingy pureblood history. Taking a seat on the chair, she waited as the hat deliberated.
Ahh, the Darkheart line returns to Hogwarts. As well as that of the Deosils. A powerful history lies within you. One of all wizards and witches. This should be an easy decision.
She cringed. "No, please, no,"
Whats this? Hmm...I suppose you are different your ancestors, although you share their potential. The goal of power is in your bloodline. But yes, you do have a fondness for non-wizards, as well as a high regard for intelligence.
She started tapping her foot in anxiousness as she awaited the verdict.
Perhaps you truly are different than your ancestors. Intelligence is your highest held virtue. Your house shall be in________!

Jade had been talking to a very kind boy until they stepped up to the front of the Great Hall. Jade froze up a bit and tried to calm down. She waited for a while, during the time other children were being sorted into one of the four houses. Finally, her name was called.
"Jade Thyre..? Would you come up please?" Mrs. McGonagall asked.
Jade stepped up and took a seat on a little wooden bench. The old leather hat was placed uppon her head.
"The first Thyre I see coming along over to Hogwarts!" The hat began. "Don't you feel oh so lucky? Well, anyway, I see courage that is yet to be unleashed..yes..yes.."
Jade was too nervous too speak; this was very important to her.
"Loyalty there is much of it in you, Jade Thyre, no doubt there is intelligence as well.. your two greatest qualities though, my dearest, are kindness and..hope. Alright then here we goo.... __________!!!!"

The Great Hall was packed with nervous first years. It was here that Professor McGonagall arrived with the stool and Sorting Hat. She placed it in the center and unrolled the parchment.
"Ashter, Jose."
Joe stepped out from the crowd and up the stairs, sitting down on the stool as McGonagall placed the Hat on his head.
"Well, well. I see we have another Ashter in Hogwarts. I can see how much desire you have. Courageous and true, loyal and compassionate. You definitely belong in ________!"

Lily Evans sat nervously as Darkheart, Phoenix was being sorted. Lily waited until it was her turn, knowing it was going to be soon. Lily licked her lips then dried them. She repeated this process three times until she heard, "Evans, Lily." Standing up Lily walked to the stool.
Being a muggle-born, Lily had no idea what to expect. She jumped when the hat spoke to her.
"Ah, so a new one eh? Fresh blood is just what we need. Plenty of courage I see, lot of it. You have a big side of mischief too. You get your self in alot of tight spots, eh? Quite brainy too and loyal, yet where to put you. Mis You'll need that bravery soon enough, keep that in mind. I say you'll do great, make things happen in __________!"

Wolfy waited in line as she was approching the sorting hat and awaiting to be put in her rightful house.
"Wolfy, Anna"
Wolfy walked up and sat on the stool and the hat was placed on her head and it spoke to her and for everyone else to hear....
"Ah, a young animagi! A wolf I assume? I think you'll do good in Gryffindor, but I see you have come across the Dark Lord in your life once or twice? I think you belong in __________!"

Kyuzo Renniel was waiting for his turn on the Sorting Hat. He was watching as Professor McGonagall was calling out the names one by one. Finally, it had been his turn.
"Renniel, Kyuzo."
A couple of students were turning their heads towards him as he stepped up to the stool. A couple of hushed voices were being transferred amongst the teachers and the students just as well. It had been when the Sorting Hat was placed on him that everyone looked on to him.
"Renniel, was it? My, my, you seem to be quite the popular wizard. You seem to have a knack for solitude but you possess knowledge far beyond any student I've seen in a while. Then I shall put you in ______________!"

Lee Harrison walked into Hogwarts nervously. Not only was it a completely new school, but a completely new country. She was originally from Australia, but her parents had moved to London a month ago. She'd always known she was a witch, but had figured she'd be going to school in Oz.
Looking around in wonder, she heard Professor McGonagall call out, "Harrison, Lee K!"
Hurrying forward, Lee seated herself on the stool and the Sorting Hat was placed on her head.
"Hmmm...you've got a good, fierce loyalty to those you hold dear, and great courage, but there is also an inquisitive mind and a cunning that you could use to your advantage and power...
Lee closed her eyes. "I don't want power-I just want to play Quidditch!" she thought.
The Sorting Hat chuckled. "I guess I will put you in... ______________!

Mandy had been nervous to do the sorting since her acceptance letter. As when her name was called her insides froze.
The walk to the stool seemed to go on forever, like it was miles and miles away.
To sit on the stoll and feel hundreds of peering eyes on her crimson face was unbearable. The soft thud of the hat being placed on her head was harmonious, seeing as where she was to be placed was finally going to be revealed.
"I see, young Mandy Richards...I had your father and your mother, both Gryffindor I believe. You seem to show loyalty and courage, faith and trust. Sometimes a bit thick headed and pushy...very Slytherin like. Now you leave me to sort you into no other than that of your descendents of course, I shall place you in _________!!!"

When she opened the scroll of parchment, she started to call them forward one by one. Every student was sorted in their houses. The witch's voice frooz when she reached the M. She than spoke with a less stern voice: "McAvoy, Evan" Evan walked forwards and took place, while the witch lowered the hat on his head. Than, to Evan's surprise, the hat spoke: "Hmmmm, yes, I know your family, and the renerations before you.... yes.... very strong family... wiseness... courage.... knowledge....inteligence...bravery.... friendship, very important, friendship.... You're ansester was great, and so will you with much studpying... you will notice soon you are very good with these abilities, so I'd say __________________!"

"Please" I think "Anywhere but Slytherin"... the hat hears my thoughts "Not Slytherin hmm you sure?" .. "yes not Slytherin not Slytherin"... "Ok" it says "it better be Gryiffindore!"
